An estimate for planning. Check the numbers with your accountant before you decide.

How the math works

Freight per carton = (truck rate × (1 + fuel surcharge %) + extra charges) ÷ cartons per load.

Rates change by destination and by week. USDA AMS publishes South Texas reefer truck rates every week at ams.usda.gov/mnreports/fvwtrk.pdf, so you can check your lane before you quote.

The example is a $3,800 load with 1,000 cartons and no surcharge. To see freight inside the full cost of a carton, with broker, inspection, cold storage and shrink, use the landed cost per carton calculator or its free Excel version: builtbyestrada.ai/downloads/landed-cost-per-carton-free.xlsx
