PACA payment due date

Free tool · Produce

Under PACA, payment is due 10 days after the buyer accepts the produce, unless you both agreed to a different term in writing before the sale. This shows the due date, whether a long term puts your trust rights at risk, and how late an invoice is.

The day they unloaded it, diverted it, or let the time to reject it run out (7 CFR 46.2(dd)).
Type 0 for PACA prompt payment, 10 days. Fill it in only if you both signed the term before the sale.
A written term counts only if it was signed before the sale (7 CFR 46.2(aa)(11)).
The date of the sale. We use it to check the agreement came first. Blank means the acceptance date.
Usually today. Days late count up to this date.
Type 0 if the invoice is paid. Example: 3,600.

How the math works

Due date = acceptance date + 10 days, the PACA prompt payment term (7 CFR 46.2(aa)(5)). A different term counts only if you both agreed to it in writing before the sale (7 CFR 46.2(aa)(11)). Then due date = acceptance date + the written term.

A written term of up to 30 days keeps the sale inside the PACA trust. With a longer term the due date still holds, and the sale falls outside the trust (7 CFR 46.46(e)(2)).

If you keep your trust rights with a separate written notice, the notice must reach the buyer within 30 days after the due date (7 CFR 46.46(f)(2)). Days late count from the due date to the check date you type.
